TheatreAlive! was founded by Dana Bishop Sanders as a vehicle to teach outstanding acting, singing and other performance skills to children and youth, in the context of giving one's self through the use of one's talents.
As a professional stage actress, Dana is committed to teaching those skills which will not only produce high quality habits and specific vocal and acting skills, but MORE IMPORTANTLY, those skills which create well-balanced and selfless actors/human beings. Not only does the student gain wonderful insight and experience into the world of performance, these skills increase a young person's confidence, as well as their awareness of and kindness towards others, and provide them with tools that benefit them in all walks of life.
TheatreAlive! offers workshops, theater camps, acting, vocal and performance-based classes to boys and girls ages 5-18 with an emphasis on ages 8-12. Groups are divided according to age and experience.
Classes are offered throughout the year and coincide with traditional school semesters: FALL--September to November; WINTER--January to April; SPRING/SUMMER--April to July/August.
